Mongolian BBQ Naperville Is Stir-Fry Fun

mongolian bbq in naperville

Mongolian BBQ (otherwise known as bd’s Mongolian Grill) is a great place to go in Naperville if you’re looking for stir-fry fun.

I know this probably doesn’t make any sense, but the first time I had heard the name of this restaurant, all I could think of was Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.  You know, ’cause Genghis Khan, ruler of Mongolia, is one of their excellent friends (Bill:  “It is indeed a pleasure to introduce to you a gentleman we picked up in medieval Mongolia in the year 1269.”  Ted:  “Please welcome the very excellent barbarian, Genghis Khan!  This is a dude who, 700 years ago, tgenghis khan's twinkieotally ravaged China, and who, we were told, two hours ago totally ravaged Oshman’s Sporting Goods.”)  I also love the scene when they lure him with a Twinkie. Then came along Naf Naf.

My wife talked me into trying it because of a coupon she had (I wasn’t paying full price for something I knew I wasn’t going to like!).

So, one night, we strolled into their original location on Ogden Ave. in Naperville. [Read more…]

Meson Sabika – A Unique Naperville Eating Experience

Meson Sabika in Naperville, IllinoisMeson Sabika in Naperville is truly a unique restaurant and eating experience.  Let’s first start off with the fantastic building and grounds.

The “restaurant” is actually an old mansion that was built back in 1847.  This ain’t no trendy hipster joint with sleek lines, dark lighting, and aluminum finishes.  We’re talking good ‘ol fashioned wooden floors, narrow stairways, and small rooms.  Just like they built way back when.  Everything’s been renovated though so that you get the best of the old world and the new.
