Job Fair For People With Disabilities: Oct. 25

naperville job fair

The Naperville Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Job & Resource Fair for people with disabilities this week.

When & Where

  • Friday, October 25
  • 8am to 12/noon
  • Northern Illinois University, Naperville Campus:  1120 E. Diehl Rd. – Naperville, IL 60563

For Job Seekers

Have a chance to meet a variety of employers in person who are accommodating to the special needs that those with disabilities may face.  Get to know people and build your network.  Plus, get the chance to help show that you support businesses that make an effort to support the disabled community.

Bring resumes, a positive attitude, and be able to pitch your skills, strengths and reasons why someone should hire you in 20 seconds or less.  If you’re able to communicate that effectively, you’ll have a better chance of employers remembering you.

For Employers

For only a $200 vendor fee, get in front of an audience of ready, willing, and able candidates.  Find out who can be a great match for your organization.  Reduce hiring costs by employing those that statistically have a higher retention rate.  Plus, join forces with creative and enthusiastic workers who can improve your bottom line and help you reach new market segments.

If, as an employer, you haven’t explored this viable segment of the work population, check out Think Beyond The Label and evaluate the impact on your bottom line with this ROI calculator.

Register for the job fair.  Job seekers attend free and vendors may attend for as little as $200.
