The Naperville Loaves and Fishes organization is putting on the 6th annual Day Without Hunger event.

  • Day:  Friday, June 14
  • Time:  Noon to 10pm
  • Where: Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry – 1871 High Grove Lane, Naperville IL 60540
  • Cost:  Free

What Is It?

Day Without Hunger  is a free event designed to benefit and raise hunger awareness for low-income Naperville and DuPage County residents.  By creating an event around food, the community aspect of sharing and learning can be done in a fun and family-friendly environment.  The goal was to raise 100,000 pounds of food for the event.

Exhibits

From noon to 6pm, visitors can enjoy fun exhibits from vendors such as:

  • DuPage Children’s Museum
  • Caricature Drawings
  • Nutrition Learning
  • Book Fair
  • Crafts
  • Face Painting
  • Cooking Demonstrations
  • and much more

Food and Entertainment

From noon to 7pm, there will be a variety of food and musical acts including:

  • Community BBQ
  • Beer and Wine
  • Dancing (Line, Irish, Chinese)
  • Kung Fu Demonstration
  • Multiple Band Performances
  • and more

Raffle Prizes

There will be a ton of awesome raffle prizes from such organizations as:

  • Cubs Tickets
  • Sox Tickets
  • Naperville Running Company
  • Twisted Olive
  • Meson Sabika
  • Great America
  • Morton Arboretum
  • White Chocolate Grill
  • and many, many more
