The Naperville Men’s Glee Club has been around since about 1988. In that time, they’ve made an effort to:
- entertain and inspire
- help kids appreciate and understand music
- support the Naperville community
- provide a fellowship for men of various ages
Oh yeah, and they’re really good. They’ve received awards, recognition, and grants from major national organizations.
So how did this group form? Well, 24 men from different backgrounds got together to sing and hopefully start a choral group. By the second song of their first rehearsal, they knew they were on to something.
From there, they started singing with university students as well as other choral groups. A few years down the road they were making signing appearances across the United States.
Their group has grown with their experience and, if you’re interested in joining them, you have the opportunity to do so. The best first step would be to check them out at a rehearsal.
Rehearsals are each Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11am at:
Church of the Brethren
1020 West Jefferson
Naperville, Illinois 60540
From there, you can schedule an audition. You don’t need any special preparation before the audition although you may want to attend a few rehearsals to get a feel for things.
The Naperville Men’s Glee Club is non-profit organization. If you want to make a donation, you can do so.
