The Serendipity Resale Shop, located in downtown Naperville, is operated by Little Friends, an organization that serves both children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
The shop is operated solely by volunteers and raises an impressive $100,000 or more every year to benefit Little Friends programs. The Serendipity shop sells quality, gently used items such as men and women’s clothing, jewelry, shoes, toys, accessories, and small household items.
The store is neatly arranged and offers customers a unique opportunity to purchase quality items, while at the same time supporting those in their community. I was drawn into the shop the first time a few years ago after seeing a small decorative box featuring one of Michelangelo’s famous cherubs attractively arranged among a window display with several other items. I collect these cherubs, so I immediately went in to make the purchase and was surprised to find such a cute little shop nestled in downtown Naperville. This shop is very well organized and makes the most of its limited space.
Serendipity Resale Shop accepts donations throughout the year and is also a great place to volunteer to support a good cause.
