What began as a hobby in a basement, turned into Lynfred Winery located in Roselle in 1979. At that time, it was 7 varieties and 5,000 gallons of wine. Today, Lynfred Winery has expanded with three sister stores, with one being right in downtown Naperville called Tasting deVine Cellars.
Tasting deVine Cellars exclusively offers Lynfred Wine, still made in Roselle. It is the perfect spot to stop before heading out to dinner or for a night out in Naperville. The charming location is an excellent place to learn about local wines.
Guests are able to sample many of the over 80 wines the winery produces; everything from Chardonnay to Tempranillo and from Apple wine to Sparkling Almond.
Wine tastings are available daily for $8 for 7 tastes. No reservation needed. Become a wine club member and your tasting price is reduced to $6. Private tastings are available by calling (630) 420-9463.
The quaint gift shop offers wine, chocolate covered bottles of wine, wine accessories and wine-themed decorations for your home.
The most popular wines are the Vin de City Red and White. They are table wines and are available for $10 and feature a label with the Chicago skyline. During the holiday season, the Cranberry and Christmas Red are extremely popular. But the most requested wine is the Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
